The analyst company GlobalData (formerly Current Analysis) has rated T-Systems as very competitive in unified communications and collaboration.

From Berlin to Madrid, from Paris to New York – employees in different locations who want to work together must rely on digital services like unified communications and collaboration solutions (UCC). But not every provider has what it takes to offer such services internationally. Against this backdrop, the market research company GlobalData has rated T-Systems’ UCC services as “very strong” in the global market. The U.S. consulting company examined and compared a number of leading collaboration and communications products and services. The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary fell just one step below the highest ranking level.
“T-Systems has considerable power and flexibility in customizing and pricing services.”

“T-Systems provides a wide range of UCC functions (voice, video conferencing, e-mail, fax, messaging, chat and social collaboration) from market-leading manufacturers,” the analysts wrote in their report. The private cloud services scored well in particular, including the Dynamic Services for Unified Communications and Dynamic Services for Collaboration. The analysts said that these services could increasingly measure up to public cloud services in terms of prices. T-Systems’ partners include Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, Swyx and NFON.

For global players and SMEs

The service range is designed with every size of company in mind. “T-Systems is able to scale the UCC services for multinational companies with the same platforms and solutions from the private cloud ,” says Ian Grant, Senior Analyst for Enterprise Mobility Europe at GlobalData. The Telekom subsidiary also meets the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), he notes: including with a package based on a Cloud TC system from NFON AG that can be combined with a central SIP trunk – the PBX line of the All IP age.

Partnership with British Telecom

The analysts described T-Systems’ recently announced partnership with BT (British Telecommunications) as a special global competitive edge because both companies may use the other's network. This boosts the geographic range of the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary by 60 percent and enables it to offer other UCC services at new locations, they say. GlobalData also praised T-Systems for the investments it is making to expand its Europe-wide network and to convert the infrastructure to All-IP.
